January is National Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month.

Today, Senator Cortez Masto and I are introducing a resolution to honor victims and to raise very needed awareness.

As I speak, victims are being trafficked across our southern border.

We each have a role to play in protecting the most vulnerable among us, especially women and children, from becoming victims of trafficking.

As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I'm committed to making human trafficking prevention a priority in this Congress.

I thank the Senator from Nevada for leading this effort.
