TFD Responds to Quick Drive Fire

July 23, 2025

On July 23, at approximately 12:53 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) responded to a structure fire in the 3000 block of Quick Drive. Crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a two-story residence, with the fire spreading into a nearby wooded area.

Firefighters launched an aggressive attack to contain the fire and worked around a floor collapse to safely bring the fire under control and stop its spread.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

The Tallahassee Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department, Leon County EMS and the City of Tallahassee Utilities.

TFD reminds all residents to have working smoke alarms on every level of their home and to regularly review and practice home fire escape plans. Early fire detection and preparation saves lives. Get tips and more fire safety information by following TFD on Facebook and visiting Talgov.com/Fire.
