CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-24 [0-0.16] from Putnam County Line to C189 bridge repair: The contractor has started working on the bridge repair on I-40 at MM 304.6 or SR-24 at LM 0.24. CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-24 [15.056-15.56] from Crossville city limits to Seventh-Day Adventist Church and School bridge replacement: The contractor has closed SR-24 at LM 15.06 to LM 15.6. This closure will remain in place for the duration of the project. The posted detour is along SR-462 and SR-1. The contractor will be working on general clearing activities and utility work initially. Once initial work is completed, the Contractor will proceed with the replacement of the bridge over the Obed River. Motorists should use caution and utilize the posted detour. CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 (US-127 S.) TDOT Bridge Inspection southbound at LM 10.69: A routine inspection of the US-127 bridge over Byrds Creek will require closure of the southbound lane from 12 PM until 3 PM. Flaggers will be present directing traffic through the work zone. Motorists are advised to be aware of temporary traffic control measures and alert to the presence of TDOT personnel, vehicles and equipment in the vicinity of the bridge.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 (US-127 S.) TDOT Bridge Inspection southbound at LM 11.08: A routine inspection of the US-127 bridge over Three Mile Creek will require closure of the southbound lane from 8:30 AM until 11 AM on Monday, March 23. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the work zone. Motorists are advised to be aware of temporary traffic control measures and alert to the presence of TDOT personnel and equipment in the vicinity of the bridge.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 (US-127 S.) TDOT Bridge Inspection southbound at LM 17.5: A routine inspection of the US-127 bridge over the Obed River is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th, from 8:30 AM until 11 AM. The inspection will require closure of the right-hand southbound lane during these hours. Motorists travelling south on US-127 during these hours should be prepared to merge left as they approach the bridge and be alert to the presence of TDOT workers and equipment.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 (US-127) bridge construction and paving from north of I-40 (LM 17.8) to near Potato Farm Road (LM 22.7): The contractor continues grading activities throughout the project limits. The contractor will close Virgil Smith Road at the intersection of SR-28 beginning 03/18/26 at 8 AM. A detour has been posted to utilize Fredonia Road. CUMBERLAND AND FENTRESS COUNTY SR-28 (US-127) widening from near N. Lowe Rd (LM 29.2) to north of SR-62 (LM 1.9): The contractor has shifted traffic to phase 2 on the newly constructed portions of SR-28 LM 0.90 to 1.98 in Fentress County. Work will proceed on the existing alignment of SR-28. Flaggers are being used intermittently as needed to control traffic through the work zone. HAMILTON COUNTY I-124 Utility Work both directions from MM 0 to MM 1.925: EPB will be performing utility work on lights on I-124 from the 0.00mm to the 1.925mm going both directions affecting the right-hand lane and the shoulder. Work will begin on the North Bound side on Monday 03/23/26 at 8pm until 6am on Tuesday 03/24/26. And on the South Bound side starting at 8pm on Tuesday 03/24/26 until 6am Wednesday 03/25/26.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-24 Utility Work eastbound from MM 178.4 to MM 181.8: EPB will be working on the overhead lights on I-24 East Bound in the #1 lane (left lane) and left shoulder. Work will begin at the split 178.4mm and going to the bridge at Old Ringgold Rd 181.8mm. Work starts on Thursday 03/26/26 at 8pm until Friday 03/27/26 at 6am.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-24 Utility Work eastbound from MM 181.5 to MM 183: EPB will be performing work on the overhead lights on I-24 East Bound from the 181.5mm to the 183mm. Work at this location will be performed in the right-hand lane and the shoulder. Work will begin on Wednesday 03/25/26 at 8 pm and continue until Thursday 03/26/26 at 6 am.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction Phase 2: Nightly Lane closures will regularly occur on this project, 9 PM to 6 AM, on I-75 North and South between Exit 1 (East Ridge) and Exit 3A (East Brainerd Road/ SR-320) and on I-24 East and West from Germantown Road to Spring Creek Road, MM182 to MM185, for various construction activities. These closures may temporarily reduce traffic to a single lane. Uniformed police officers will be present in these work zones to assist with traffic management and to enforce traffic laws. Nighttime lane closures from 9 PM to 6 AM are scheduled on I-24 East and West between Germantown Road and through the I-75 interchange for placement of permanent thermoplastic pavement markings, painting/texture coating of retaining/noise walls, and work on various punch list items. This night work will continue weekly from Sunday through Thursday during the month of March. After 11 PM during these nights the contractor may also use rolling roadblocks in a moving operation to apply thermoplastic lane lines. At times this work may require the temporary closure of exit or entrance ramps from I-24 West and I-24 East to North and South Terrace. Message boards, signs and detours will be provided to warn motorists of all these ramp closures and to guide them to the next available exit or entrance ramp. The contractor will have daytime lane closures (9 AM to 3 PM) on North and South Terrace for various repairs, installation of permanent thermoplastic pavement markings, and to paint/texture coat retaining/noise walls. This work is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday, weather permitting, and will occur weekly through March and into April until completed. The contractor has shifted and opened all lanes on I-75 North and I-75 South in their final alignment. There will continue to be nighttime lane closures (9 PM to 6 AM) weekly (Monday through Sunday) on I-75 North and South as the contractor performs finishing work (grinding, repairs, sawing and sealing joints, etc.) on the concrete pavement in preparation for final striping. As this work progresses it will be necessary to temporarily close exit and entrance ramps to and from I-75 so that crews can safely work in these areas. Currently, the bulk of this work is scheduled for I-75 North and Exit 3A may be temporarily closed at night to safely facilitate this work. Message boards, signs and detours will be provided to warn motorists of these closures and to guide them to the next available exit or entrance ramp. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) will have officers present to assist with traffic control and to enforce traffic laws. Most of the remaining work items on this project are temperature and weather sensitive. If any of them are canceled due to inclement conditions, they will be rescheduled to take place on the next available day and time when adequate conditions exist. It may also be necessary to do short duration (15 to 30 minutes) rolling roadblocks during the day or night for patching potholes, clearing debris or repairing guardrail, attenuators, etc.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at the Hamilton Place Mall interchange: The SR-153 southbound ramp to I-75 northbound has been reduced to one lane. Traffic shifts have been implemented on I-75 northbound and I-75 southbound, Shallowford Road entrance ramps, and Shallowford Road exit ramps and Hamilton Place Mall exit ramp. Hamilton Loop Road is closed for retaining wall construction and storm drainage installation between the intersections near Markman's Jewelers and Texas Roadhouse. JACKSON COUNTY SR-53 [17.46-17.6] from south of Hurricane Branch to Near Hurricane Branch Lane culvert replacement: The contractor has completely closed the road through the work zone as of 03/04/26. Motorists need to use the posted detour route.

MARION COUNTY I-24 [137-138.2] from 137 to 138.2 Rockfall Mitigation on I-24 near MM 137: The contractor will be performing rockfall mitigation operations on I-24 WB beginning at MM 138.2 in Marion County. The middle lane, right lane, and right shoulder have been closed. 2 Lanes of traffic have been shifted to flow on the left shoulder and left lane. Blasting will also occur during the weekdays between 9 AM and 3 PM. Blasting operations will require a rolling roadblock. All lanes will be reopened to traffic by May 22, 2026. RHEA COUNTY SR-30 (DAYTON MTN. HWY.) TDOT Bridge Inspection eastbound at LM 7.99: An inspection of the SR-30 bridge over Richland Creek in Dayton will require closure of the eastbound lane from 9 AM until 12 PM on Thursday, March 19. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the work zone. Please be aware of the presence of temporary traffic control and alert them to the presence of workers, vehicles, and equipment on and near the bridge.

VANBUREN COUNTY SR-111 [14.87-19.54] from Sparta Street to White County Line microsurfacing: The contractor will have occasional lane closures during daylight hours from 6AM to 7PM for sign and traffic control device installations and to begin bridge repair and microsurfacing related operations as needed. Additionally, lane closures on this multi-lane highway may carry through nighttime hours with proper signage for curing of concrete and other bridge related setup. WHITE COUNTY SR-111 [15.25-16.25] from O'Connor Rd to Old Kentucky Rd culvert replacement: The left lane of both the Northbound and Southbound side of SR-111 will be closed until further notice. At this time the contractor will be constructing median crossovers to allow for later work to be completed. Motorists are encouraged to use caution as they approach the work zone, and they should be prepared to stop.
