Path Update: John Nolen Drive Reconstruction

The North Shore Drive path will be closed between Bedford Street and John Nolen Drive during this closure (details below). Path users will be re-routed to the newly built path on the northwest side of John Nolen Drive.

South Broom Street is scheduled to reopen by 4:00pm on Tuesday, June 2. Following the reopening, North Shore Drive will close beginning at 5:00am on Wednesday, June 3.

These closures are part of the next phase of the John Nolen Drive reconstruction project. North Shore Drive is expected to remain closed through mid-July while crews reconstruct the intersection.

  • The Capital City Trail and the North Shore Drive shared-use paths will remain open throughout construction.

In addition, the John Nolen Drive causeway will be closed overnight from 11:00pm on Tuesday, June 2, until 5:00am on Wednesday, June 3, to allow crews to complete a concrete bridge deck pour.
