Elliott Professor Honored with International Award

Pascale Ehrenfreund's work includes advancing global collaboration in the space sector.

Pascale Ehrenfreund,a research professor of space policy and international affairs at the Elliott School of International Affairs, received the International Astronautical Federation's 2025 Excellence in International Cooperation Award.The award honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding efforts to foster international collaboration in the space sector.

Ehrenfreund is the president of the Committee on Space Research and serves on the board of directors of the Space Foundation. She is also a member of the Global Future Council on Space of the World Economic Forum.

For 30 years, she contributed as principal investigator, co-investigator and team leader to European Space Agency and NASA astronomy and planetary missions, as well as experiments in low Earth orbit and on the International Space Station.
