WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Tony Wied (WI-08) is reminding all residents of Wisconsin's 8th District that Community Project Funding (CPF) requests are due Monday, March 9th.
"My top priority as the Representative for Wisconsin's 8th District is to make life better for the great people of Northeast Wisconsin, and that includes securing federal funding for projects that improve our communities," said Congressman Wied. "I was proud to secure over $12.4 Million in funding for FY26, and I look forward to bringing more resources back to our district this year. If you have a project that may qualify for federal funding, I encourage you to apply prior to the March 9th deadline."
CPF is a process that allows Members of Congress to request direct funding for projects that benefit the communities they represent. This process includes robust eligibility, ethics, and transparency guidelines and is available only to state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as some nonprofits.
Requests must meet the following requirements:
Requests should include specific information on the project's benefits to people throughout Wisconsin's 8th Congressional district, including Brown, Calumet, Door, Kewaunee, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, and Winnebago Counties.
NOTE: The Appropriations Committee has moved up its deadline for accepting Community Project Funding requests. Our deadline has been updated to March 9th to reflect this change.
