MEMIC Elevates Sunny Jarrard and Benjamin Roberts to Territory Manager Roles

Portland, ME - The MEMIC Group, the third-largest multi-state workers' compensation specialist in the United States, promotes Sunny Jarrard to Territory Manager for the Southeast Region and Benjamin Roberts to Territory Manager for the Northeast Region.

Jarrard to Lead Southeast Territory Expansion

In her new role, Jarrard will guide MEMIC's business across Virginia, Maryland, D.C., and Delaware, while also supporting the company's portfolio in Tennessee. She will continue to lead MEMIC's Loss Sensitive Business, helping advance strategic initiatives and ensuring profitable growth across key markets.

Jarrard joined MEMIC in 2021 as a Loss Sensitive Underwriter and was later promoted to Loss Sensitive Segment Leader.

"Stepping into this role is energizing, and my team feels the same," said Jarrard. "We're ready to listen, collaborate, and deliver the kind of partnership that helps you write more business, retain clients, and give our insureds the tools and support they need to create safer workplaces."

Jarrard is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds the Workers' Compensation Professional (WCP®) designation.

Roberts to Oversee Growth Across New Jersey and Pennsylvania

In his new role, Roberts will oversee the MEMIC territory in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He will lead the underwriting team serving both states, strengthen agency partnerships, and support the continued, profitable growth of MEMIC's regional portfolio.

Roberts joined MEMIC in 2019 as a Senior Production Underwriter and was promoted to Senior Loss Sensitive Underwriter in 2024.

"I'm thankful for the opportunity to take on the role of Northeast Territory Manager at MEMIC," said Roberts. "This step forward is possible because of the support, collaboration, and trust of an incredible organization, along with the great mentors and leaders I've had the privilege of working with along the way. I'm excited to continue strengthening and growing our agency relationships across the Northeast."

Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Castleton University, with concentrations in Management and Marketing and a minor in Statistics. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Underwriting-Management (AU-M), and Workers' Compensation Professional (WCP®) designations.

Both Jarrard and Roberts will report to Jim Keck, who was recently promoted to Vice President of the Eastern Region, succeeding Jeff Funk, who will be retiring after 20 years of distinguished service at MEMIC.

"Sunny and Ben represent the best of who we are-bringing deep market insight, steady leadership, and a genuine commitment to the policyholders and agencies we serve," said Keck. "Their leadership will help us advance the values that define our brand."
