Dozens of families from across Fort Worth will hula the night away at the upcoming Adapted Luau special-needs event at Forest Park Pool.

About the event: Fort Worth Aquatics and the Park & Recreation Department's Dream Club are joining to create a magical night for all. There will be music, food trucks, sensory activities, games and, of course, swimming and splashing in the pool.

Event details: Join the fun from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Forest Park Pool, 2850 Park Place Ave., Fort Worth TX 76110. The event is free to attend, and all ages are invited.

The goal: To make Fort Worth's recreation opportunities more inclusive and to meet the needs of all residents.

"We strive to make Fort Worth a place that is inclusive for all, and we're excited to create additional programming and events that embrace all audiences," said Community Center Coordinator Victoria Leach.

Know before you go: Attendees must wear proper swim attire - no T-shirts, basketball shorts or floaties. Bring extra money if you plan to order from the food truck.
