Special animal adoption promotion meant to clear Mission Viejo Animal Services Center April 30

In honor of "National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day" on April 30, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center and DAWG are hosting a special $20 adoption promotion on all pets - dogs, cats and rabbits.

The national designation promotes awareness of the many pets in shelters waiting for forever homes. Although the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center has a good adoption rate, the center is taking this opportunity to spotlight every animal, some that have been waiting for weeks and sometimes months to be adopted.

"We are so grateful that our nonprofit DAWG is making this day extra special for our animals and families seeking to add a new dog, cat or rabbit to their family," said Animal Services Director Brynn Lavison. "There is nothing more rewarding than giving a homeless pet a loving, forever home, and I'm hoping folks will come out and help us clear our shelter."

To find out more about the wonderful animals available for adoption, visit cmvas.org or call 949-470-3045. The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is located at 28095 Hillcrest.
