Vanderbilt's transition to a new single sign-on identity and access management platform-OneVU, powered by Okta-has begun, as of April 15. Users should complete the OneVU onboarding process by May 5 but retain DUO until the transition is complete later this year.
This change, led by Cybersecurity's VTrustinitiative, will strengthen security and streamline access to key applications such as Office 365, virtual private network (VPN) and many others and is part of the university's ongoing commitment to cybersecurity and enhanced user experience.
What you need to do now:

What's new with OneVU powered by Okta:

OneVU Dashboard- A centralized platform to securely access your enterprise applications, manage your Okta account and receive important notifications.

Browser Plug-in- You can also install the Okta browser plug-infor seamless access to your apps. The Okta browser plug-in allows automatic sign-in to various applications, eliminating the need to manually enter credentials.

External Email for Recovery- You can now use a non-Vanderbilt emailas a recovery option in case you forget your password or lose a device.
Multifactor authentication update: Transition from DUO to Okta Verify
As part of your OneVU onboarding process, you will establish your Okta Verify multifactor authentication account. Okta Verifyoffers a faster, more secure and more user-friendly authentication experience.
