Join us!

The Oceanside Parks and Recreation Department will host an incredible fireworks and drone display on Friday, July 3, 2026, in celebration of Independence Day, America's Semiquincentennial, and the 138th anniversary of the City's incorporation (July 3, 1888).

The fireworks and drone display will begin at 9:00 p.m. in the heart of Oceanside at the SoCal Soccer Complex at El Corazon (3300 El Corazon Drive). View a Map

Gates to the event open at 4:00 p.m. and there will be family-friendly activities and food trucks.

Public Transportation

Public Transportation is encouraged, and the Rancho Del Oro (RDO) Sprinter Station is nearby (it's a 15-minute walk, or 0.8 mile). NCTD is adding an extra roundtrip service on the SPRINTER to accomodate riders to/from the fireworks. Visit GoNCTD.com to plan ahead.

Walk or ride your bike to avoid traffic delays into and out of the event.

Parking

Parking will be available at the SoCal Soccer lot for $15 per car and SoCal Soccer parking lot entry gates close at 8:30 p.m. for incoming cars.

Free parking will be available at the nearby Ocean Ranch Business Park. It's about a 30-minute walk to the site, or 1.3 miles. RV's and buses are not permitted.

Plan to bring your patience and increased awareness of pedestrians and bicyclists.

Entertainment

The Oceanside Parks & Recreation team will have crafts and fun lawn games set up while we wait for the fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. Picnicking is encouraged when gates open at 4:00 p.m. and food trucks will be on site.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., a dj will be spinning family-friendly dance music that will have everyone on their feet.

Tips

Bring a beach chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy a spectacular show at this free, family-friendly event. Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks at the site. Sorry, no alcohol or dogs are permitted.

Remember...

Personal use of consumer fireworks are illegal in the City of Oceanside and throughout San Diego County. Leave it to the professionals!

Why July 3?

Ensuring everyone's safety is our top priority, and conducting the fireworks celebration a day early aligns with Oceanside's birthday (incorporated on July 3, 1888), and allows us to allocate the city's resources efficiently. Since we have tens of thousands of beachgoers on July 4, many of our public safety resources are directed in and around the beach on the fouth. Help us kick off the festivities one day early and make this Independence Day a safe and happy celebration for our city and country.
