This deal marks a significant milestone for Eutelsat OneWeb's LEO satellites constellation maintenance and is the result of a multiyear joint collaboration between the two companies.

Under the contract, Ramon.Space will initially supply 70 flight sets of its digital communication channelizer systems, based on its NuComm product line, over the coming months. These will upgrade Eutelsat OneWeb's existing analog channelizers, which are expected to be integrated into the satellites and launched starting at the end of 2026. The contract also provides the optionality for additional systems.

Ramon.Space's systems will be integrated into Eutelsat OneWeb's LEO satellites to bring advanced onboard processing capabilities. Key features include digital filtering, any-to-any switching, in-orbit programmability and the ability to add other software-defined solutions while in-orbit. This supports the growing trend toward more flexible, software-defined satellite operations, paving the way for enhanced responsiveness and mission adaptability in future systems (e.g. IRIS²).

"We are excited to be chosen by Eutelsat OneWeb to usher their constellation into the digital era," said Avi Shabtai, CEO of Ramon.Space. "Our advanced processors enable key capabilities that revolutionise satellite communications and empower customers to create cutting-edge digital constellations."

Fabien Vernat, Gen1 Replenishment Programme Manager for Eutelsat Group said: "We're leveraging Ramon.Space computing technology to digitalise our satellite network, offering improved performance, scalability and resilience for the future of OneWeb LEO constellations while ensuring delivery of continuity of service of the existing constellation with enhanced service features. This collaboration underscores our commitment to meeting our customer's demands while paving the way towards an architecture in line with the European IRIS2 constellation, ensuring sustainable and robust global communication solutions for our customers."
