WASHINGTON (January 25, 2025) - Edison Electric Institute (EEI) interim President and CEO Pat Vincent-Collawn today issued the following statement:
"On behalf of America's investor-owned electric companies, EEI congratulates Kristi Noem on her confirmation as U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security.
"Enhancing the security of America's critical energy infrastructure, protecting against evolving physical and cybers threats, and preparing for and responding to natural disasters are responsibilities shared between the electric power industry and our government partners.
"The threat landscape will continue to evolve, and we look forward to working closely with Secretary Noem and her teams at CISA and FEMA to help ensure that America has the reliable, secure, and resilient energy we need to power our economy and our way of life."
