CIBOLA, ARIZ. - The Hart Mine Road Bridge, located near the Cibola Wildlife Refuge on the Arizona-California border, collapsed today following structural damage believed to have been caused by a recent fire. Portions of the bridge are in the water. No injuries have been reported.

Multiple agencies-including the Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Wildland Fire Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service-are actively coordinating response and safety efforts at the site. Crews are working on installing buoy barriers and signage, as well as taking other safety measures to restrict vehicle, pedestrian, and boater access. River safety teams are also coordinating to mark hazardous debris zones to protect recreational users.

"We are asking all pedestrians, motorists, and boaters to avoid the area at this time. With debris in the water and ongoing assessments underway, staying clear of the site is essential for everyone's safety," said Resource Management Office Chief Chris Wallis.

The Cibola Bridge is a small, Reclamation-owned bridge crossing the Colorado River near the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge along the Arizona-California border. It is used primarily for farm-to-farm travel and refuge access to essential services.
