Project Background:
The City is working to develop a comprehensive Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) to address traffic speeds and volume concerns and improve safety on local streets throughout the community. This program will complement ongoing safety improvement projects on arterial streets across the City. This NTMP is an excellent opportunity to review best practices, traffic speed and volume data, discuss neighborhood traffic calming with community members, and develop a transparent data-driven approach for traffic speed and volume management throughout the City.
Workshop #1:
You are invited on Thursday, June 5th, from 5 to 7 PM to the Lima-Allen County Neighborhoods in Partnership (LACNIP), located at 1440 W. Spring Street, Lima, OH 45805.
Public Workshop #1 will introduce the NTMP process to the public. The workshop will allow people to provide feedback on where they think there is neighborhood speeding or cut-through issues and discuss what to do about it. The purpose of this workshop is to gather information regarding location-specific concerns and traffic-related issues on residential streets in Lima. The workshop will also provide a speed management and traffic calming improvement matrix to aid discussion on what residents like or dislike about specific traffic calming improvements.
Online Survey:
We want your input! If you are not able to attend the in-person workshop, please click the link to take this online survey to let us know what you think are the neighborhood speeding or cut-through traffic issues in Lima! The survey is open from May 28th to June 9th.
