Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Gao Wenqi Meets with Rwandan Foreign Minister Hon. Amb. Olivier Nduhungirehe

On July 18, Ambassador Gao Wenqi paid a courtesy call on Hon. Amb. Olivier Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda.

Amb. Gao conveyed the cordial greetings from H.E. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, to Minister Nduhungirehe. He sincerely congratulated Rwanda on its remarkable achievements in national development, and expressed his great honor to be Chinese ambassador to Rwanda. He said, under the strategic guidance of the two Heads of State, China-Rwanda relations have enjoyed sound and steady growth with fruitful outcomes in practical cooperation, and both sides firmly support each other on issues of core interests. China stands ready to work with Rwanda to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership, and bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Minister Nduhungirehe warmly welcomed Amb. Gao. He said, Rwanda-China relations maintain a sound momentum and broad prospects. The two countries share a common vision of development, and uphold the principle of mutual respect in cooperation, which has brought tangible benefits to the two peoples. He will fully support Amb. Gao in performing duties, and further advance bilateral relations.

Amb. Gao and Minister Nduhungirehe also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
