Lakefront Collage: A Survey of Racine and Kenosha Art Spaces
Kenosha, WI - The Mathis Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside is thrilled to announce its Spring 2025 exhibition, Lakefront Collage: A Survey of Racine and Kenosha Art Spaces, opening on Feb. 4, and running through May 2. The gallery is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public.
This exhibition celebrates the vibrant and diverse art communities of Racine and Kenosha, showcasing works from leading local art spaces. Lakefront Collage will feature a curated selection of paintings, sculptures, photography, and mixed media from prominent and emerging artists and galleries in the region.
Lakefront Collage highlights the rich artistic heritage of these neighboring cities, fostering a deeper appreciation for local talent and the unique cultural contributions of the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Participating Art Spaces and Galleries include ArtRoot, Artworks Gallery and Pencillarium, The Johnson Gallery at Carthage, Lemon Street Gallery, Mahogany Gallery, Outpost Gallery, OS Projects, Pollard Gallery, and RAM-Wustum.
The public is invited to the opening reception on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. Meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, and celebrate the launch of this exceptional exhibition. There will also be a panel discussion, with the details to be announced.
