Personal Care Products Council Applauds Senate Appropriations Committee Passage of Fiscal Year 2026 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Bill

Washington, D.C.-The Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) released the following statement on the bipartisan U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Fiscal Year 2026 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies bill that passed in the Senate Appropriations Committee.

"PCPC and our member companies have long advocated for appropriate FDA funding to effectively oversee cosmetics and personal care products regulations and fully implement the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA) provisions.

"We thank Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Vice Chair Patty Murray (D-Wash.) for their leadership in including essential funding for the implementation of MoCRA and sunscreen regulatory reform as provisions in the bill. We urge the U.S. Senate to move swiftly in passing this legislation to help ensure strong, science-based regulation that protects consumers and supports continued innovation in our industry."
