Southbound Dallas Pkwy. Closed at Cotton Gin Rd., Saturday, July 12

(July 11, 2025) Southbound Dallas Pkwy. will be closed at Cotton Gin Rd. on Saturday, July 12 to allow for the widening of the frontage road bridge. The road will close at 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning and reopen by 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening. The details of the closures and detours are described below. See attached map (PDF).

Detours and Closures:

  • Southbound Dallas Pkwy Frontage Road: Closed to all but local traffic between Cotton Gin Rd. and the railroad tracks. Southbound traffic must turn right onto Cotton Gin Rd. and use Legacy Dr. and Stonebrook Pkwy. to return to the frontage road. Detour signs will be posted.
  • Salt Cedar Way Access: Use northbound Dallas Pkwy. and make a u-turn at the railroad tracks to reach the portion of the southbound frontage road that is still open.

Please use caution while driving in the work zone, or find an alternate route in advance. Use the Waze app to navigate around road closures. Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.
