Rep. Regina Lewis-Ward’s Article on Technology and Racial Justice Published in Chicago Black Policy Review

ATLANTA - State Representative Regina Lewis-Ward (D-McDonough) announced that her scholarly article, entitled "The Role of Technology in Advancing Racial Justice," was recently published in the Spring 2026, Volume 3 edition of the Chicago Black Policy Review. The Chicago Black Policy Review is a publication of the University of Chicago dedicated to advancing research and policy solutions that impact Black communities, and Rep. Lewis-Ward notes that her article explores the role technology can play in promoting racial equity, while also examining the challenges that can arise when innovation outpaces thoughtful public policy.

"As technology continues to reshape every aspect of our society, we have a responsibility to ensure that innovation serves as a bridge to opportunity rather than a barrier to equity," said Rep. Lewis-Ward. "Technology should empower communities, while protecting against bias and discrimination. I am honored to contribute to this important policy conversation."

The publication of "The Role of Technology in Advancing Racial Justice" seeks to reflect Rep.
