Batteries That Are Permitted In Or As Carry-On Baggage

Guests are reminded that all batteries should be:

  • Protected using a zipped plastic bag, or
  • Have terminal taped, or
  • Be in their original packaging, or
  • Placed in a protective pouch (especially for mobility aids batteries),

The batteries must be kept in the seat pocket or under the seat in front of the guest during the flight and not stowed in the overhead compartment. Guests travelling with electric wheelchairs will not be assigned to bulkhead seats (Business Class and Economy Class) as they typically lack under-seat storage and may restrict the safe stowage of removable batteries.
