by L.A. Area Chamber

LOS ANGELES, CA - July 8, 2025 - The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce today issued the following statement on the six-month progress since the Eaton and Palisades wildfires:

"Six months after the devastating Eaton and Palisades fires, we are encouraged by the steady progress in recovery and rebuilding efforts across the region," said Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. "We commend Governor Gavin Newsom, Mayor Karen Bass, and county officials for their leadership and swift action in mobilizing resources, streamlining processes, and supporting displaced residents and businesses."

The Chamber remains committed to long-term economic recovery. Through its Small Business Disaster Relief Fund, the Chamber is providing financial assistance to wildfire-impacted small businesses, helping ensure they have the resources needed to rebuild and thrive.

"As recovery continues, we urge ongoing collaboration across public, private, and nonprofit sectors to help our communities emerge even stronger," added Salinas.
