NextOp, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to connecting post-9/11 enlisted veterans to meaningful careers, has partnered with the City of Fort Worth to host the first-ever Employment Workshop and Career Fair from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the Will Rogers Memorial Center - Stagecoach Room, 3401 W. Lancaster Ave.
This landmark event is more than a networking opportunity - it's a launchpad for careers
NextOp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping post-9/11 enlisted veterans find and secure meaningful employment - completely free of charge.
Since its founding in 2015, NextOp has placed over 5,000 veterans nationwide into careers with an average annual salary of $60,000. Since expanding into North Texas in June 2024, the organization has already helped over 115 veterans secure positions averaging $74,000 annually.
Unlike traditional job fairs, this event is built on intentional hiring. Every participating employer is expected to hold structured, interview-style conversations with veteran and transitioning-military candidates. Think of it as "speed dating for jobs" - with results that matter. Employers are encouraged to hire on the spot when possible or engage in meaningful conversations that lead to real opportunities.
