MANY MANSIONS PARTNERS WITH GOLD COAST HEALTH PLAN TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY SERVICES ACROSS VENTURA COUNTY
Gold Coast Health Plan uplifts vulnerable Ventura County residents by investing in efforts to overcome social, cultural, environmental, and structural barriers in accessing crucial care.
(THOUSAND OAKS) March 30th, 2026 - The effort to keep quality health care accessible has been joined by a new partnership between Many Mansions and Ventura County's local Medi-Cal plan, Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP), which awarded Many Mansions a grant in the amount of $72,464 through GCHP's Pathways to Wellness (PTW) Community Grant Program.
Many Mansions is a leading provider of affordable housing in Southern California and the largest Permanent Supportive Housing provider in Ventura County. Owning and operating 24 communities throughout the region, Many Mansions serves over 2,000 economically disadvantaged residents, with a special focus on vulnerable populations such as veterans, seniors, youth, individuals with disabilities, and those who have experienced chronic homelessness. Their collaboration with GCHP is dedicated to improving health outcomes for Ventura County residents by ensuring that Medi-Cal health care coverage remains uninterrupted while also supporting housing stability and food security through health-promoting services like food pantries, preventive screenings, and education on community resources.
As the largest Medi-Cal plan in Ventura County, GCHP has spent nearly 15 years developing programs and services tailored to the needs of Ventura County members. The Pathways to Wellness Community Grant Program allows GCHP to re-invest resources into the community by partnering with service providers like Many Mansions. Through this grant, Many Mansions will facilitate the maintenance of residents' Medi-Cal coverage, ensuring all have consistent connection to health care. This grant further enhances residents' health and well-being by supporting educational workshops and consultations with health care partners, expanding outreach on insurance deadlines and key health reminders through flyers and other communications, and equipping case managers with the tools and information they need to help residents navigate their Medi-Cal coverage. To maximize the effect of these measures, GCHP will attend upcoming Many Mansions resource fairs, where residents can learn more about their health plan.
"We are proud to support the important work that Many Mansions is doing to provide the most vulnerable people in our community with housing and other critical supportive services." said Marlen Torres, GCHP's chief member experience and external affairs officer. "This partnership allows us to extend our reach into the community and help members stay connected to care as they navigate upcoming Medi-Cal changes."
- Susana Enriquez-Euyoque, Gold Coast Health Plan
Also essential for a strong foundation of health is food security. The PTW grant will contribute to a new weekly fresh-food pantry at Many Mansions' community, Rancho Sierra. Operated by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, the pantry is supplied by Food Share, as well as local restaurants and grocery markets. The Rancho Sierra pantry is open to residents and the general public.
GCHP will also provide emergency food assistance to Many Mansions residents through grocery store gift cards that can supplement resource gaps for individuals and families.
Thanks to the generous grant from GCHP, Many Mansions has a new partner in the effort to protect the health and well-being of Ventura County's most vulnerable residents. This united front is dedicated to ensuring that residents have uninterrupted and comprehensive access to quality health care, social services, and nutritious food.
