On March 3, thirty-two students from Port Clinton Middle School presented their business plans to the Shark Tank Panel. These students dedicated weeks after school to develop their projects as part of the Young Entrepreneurs Club. During the Shark Tank event, their culminating business proposals were showcased, captivating the judges with their confidence, creativity, and impressive presentations.
The Grand Champions of the event were Penny Sandvick and Kenleigh Mazur presenting their business "Positively Glowing". Runner up was Adrienne Wheeler with "The Perfect Paws Bully Rescue" followed by a tie for third place with Kennedi Wainwright's "Hometown Hotspots" and "Paws and Poses" with Kendyl Bollinger and Morgan Biers.
Additionally, several students received Honorable Mentions for their outstanding projects: Jaclyn Gressman and Hailey Goff with "Paws and Relax"; Dominic Esquival and Trace Warnicke with "Snack Shack and SUDS"; June Messa and Ava Warnicke with "Blend and Bite"; Zoe Schaaf and Julia Osborne with "Pawsitively Picture Moments"; and Jaxon Snyder and Raymond Jones with "Measure by Measure".
Although the following students did not place, their businesses were amazing according to Kerri Fial, Young Entrepreneur Advisor: Berkeley Mizener, Nolan Verkin, Asa Gatliff, Miles Jackson, Gabe Fick, Chloe Hatt, Mason Manore, Gianna Bolte, Makenna Hatfield, Ben Schramm, Addie Hildreth, Lucas Hefty, Cambri Chapman, Paizley Manns, Abbi Edmonds, and Kynleigh Scott. These students all demonstrated a strong work ethic and a desire to not only succeed, but compete with a unique business plan.
