Revised council meeting schedule adds public comment options

The revised City Council meeting schedule for 2026 was approved at the council meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13, adding additional public comment opportunities for residents. See a list of upcoming meetings.

The schedule consists of 20 meetings which include public comment, all broken out into daytime and evening sessions. The schedule also includes one additional budget workshop in addition to the previous six that were scheduled on the following days:

  • April 21
  • May 12 and 19
  • June 2 and 16
  • Aug. 11 and 18

Know before you go

For residents attending council meetings, the City has various benefits to accommodate visitors.

Free parking: The City provides free parking for residents. Parking is available at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail (directly in front of City Hall), or behind City Hall in the back area adjacent to West Fifth Street and Forest Park Boulevard.

How to sign up to speak at council meetings: Once the agenda is posted to the City's website on the Thursday prior to the meeting, speakers must register no later than two hours before the start of the meeting for both day and evening meetings.

There are several options for registering to speak:

  • Review the instructions on filling out a speaker card online. Then open an agenda and fill out a speaker card online for any action item.
  • Call the City Secretary's Office at 817-392-6150.
  • Complete a speaker card in person in the City Secretary's Office at City Hall no later than two hours prior to the start of the meeting.
