Elgin Community College Visit: Manufacturing & Technology Center Site Tour

Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie recently visited Elgin Community College to take a tour of their new Manufacturing and Technology Center. The new cutting-edge facility will house the ever-growing HVAC and welding programs and enable ECC to expand academic programs in manufacturing, engineering, and technology while addressing the region's growing demand for skilled workers.
The 150,000-square-foot Manufacturing and Technology Center is an impressive build out that will give students more space for hands on learning and creative innovation, especially in programs that continue to grow exponentially.
With ECC serving students within Leader McCombie's 89th District, the leader was excited to visit the college again for an in-depth tour and progress update.
The construction is expected to be complete this fall.
