Chess Club

Join the Richardson Senior Center and participate in the chess club. All skill levels are welcomed, and no experience is necessary. Learn to play or practice and improve. This club is for those ages 50 and older. Membership to the Senior Center is required

Betty's Notebook

A teenage girl hears something strange on her radio. What she believes is the final transmission of Amelia Earhart turns out to maybe be true. She writes it all down. Decades later, her notebook becomes the starting point for this immersive, goosebump-inducing performance. Betty's Notebook is not your typical concert. Voices drift through the space like distant signals, projections fill the room, and the past comes eerily alive around you. If you've ever been intrigued by a mystery or wondered how music could feel like a story unfolding in real time, this is for you.

RWC - Bridge Festival - Registration ends Sept. 18

50 Years of Gold presented by Vocal Majority

This one-night-only event celebrates Vocal Majority's 14th International Gold Medal earned 50 years after the group's first gold in 1975. The evening will feature Vocal Majority's award-winning contest set along with an inspiring selection of patriotic favorites, heartfelt love songs and some good ol' Texas tunes.

Microsoft Word Intermediate

Learn how to improve your use of Microsoft's word processing program. Public Safety Expo

Join the Richardson Police Department for the annual Public Safety Expo. Experience a day filled with excitement and education as RPD showcases police and fire department vehicles with engaging demonstrations from the K9 Unit and UAS (drone) Team. Meet SWAT Team members, interact with Bike Unit officers and get an up-close look at a helicopter. Attendees can also explore booths from various vendors and City services offering valuable information on safety and emergency preparedness. Don't miss the chance to meet special guests such as Chase from Paw Patrol, Nat the National Night Out Knight and McGruff the Crime Dog. Miss Texas Sadie Schiermeyer and Miss Texas' Teen Emma Fossum will also make a special appearance.

3rd Saturday Guided Boardwalk Tour

Disc Golf at Breckinridge Park

Play a round (or two) of disc golf at Breckinridge Park. The disc golf course at Breckinridge Park was designed by Eric McCabe, one of the most-renowned disc golf course designers, and the winner of the 2010 Professional Disc Golf Association World Championship.

Story Stroll

Grab your strollers and stretch your legs with the Richardson Public Library this fall. Attend a storytime at the Huffhines Park pavilion, then enjoy a walk through the park to connect to nature with movement, rhymes and fun. Storytime is intended for kids ages six weeks to three years. The rest of the program is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Health Information and Wellness Fair

Join the Richardson Senior Center for the Health and Wellness Fair. There will be more than 60 vendors, free fitness classes, demonstrations, informational talks and flu shots. The Credit Union of Texas food truck will provide complimentary food to all attendees while supplies last. This fair is designed for those 50 years of age and older. Membership to the Richardson Senior Center is not required.

Pawtoberfest Costume Contest & Puppy Yoga - Registration Open

Registration is open for Pawtoberfest's popular pet costume contest and rescue puppy yoga. Dress your pup up in their spookiest, silliest or most spectacular costume for a chance to win a prize. Awards given to first, second and third place across categories.

Get in a full body stretch in our 45-minute yoga session while surrounded by the joy of puppies. All puppies are adoptable rescues from Dallas RRR (Rescue, Rehab, Reform). You might even find your newest furry family member. Class is led by the fabulous instructors from Sayto Yoga Dallas.

Gobble Hobble 20th Anniversary - Registration Open

Registration is now open for the 20th Annual Richardson Gobble Hobble. This event, featuring a Family Fun Run and 5K, benefits the Boys & Girls Club. There will be a Fun Zone which includes a free photo booth, balloon artist and street games.
