Novato Celebrates Pride Month 2026 / Novato celebra el Mes del Orgullo 2026
The City of Novato looks forward to celebrating and recognizing June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+ (LGBTQ+) Pride Month for the fifth year in a row. Continuing this meaningful tradition, the City will raise the Pride flag on Monday, June 1 at 6pm.
Join us on the steps of Novato City Hall, 901 Sherman Avenue, as we hear from speakers, raise the Pride flag in front of City Hall, and come together to celebrate Pride Month and reaffirm our commitment to inclusion and belonging as a community. This year, you'll hear the 2026 Pride Voices contest winning entry. As a bonus, the first 50 attendees will receive a free sweet treat from Kona Ice!
"Novato is strongest when everyone feels like they belong," said Mayor Rachel Farac. "Pride Month gives us a chance to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and recognize the many people who help make Novato vibrant, welcoming and inclusive. We're proud to continue this tradition and strengthen our commitment to being a community where everyone feels valued and supported."
In addition to the flag-raising ceremony, the Novato City Council will issue a proclamation at their June 9 meeting to officially recognize June 2026 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Novato. The proclamation recognizes Novato's support of the rights, equality, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community. The Pride flag will be flown on the flagpole at the Novato Police Department throughout the month of June.

La ciudad de Novato espera celebrar y reconocer junio como el mes del orgullo lésbico, gay, bisexual, transgénero, queer+ (LGBTQ+) por quinto año consecutivo. Siguiendo con esta significativa tradición, la Ciudad izará la bandera del orgullo el lunes 1.° de junio a las 6:00 p.m.
Acompáñenos en las escaleras del ayuntamiento de Novato, 901 Sherman Avenue, mientras escuchamos a los oradores, izamos la bandera del orgullo frente al ayuntamiento, y nos reunimos para celebrar el mes del orgullo y reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con la inclusión y la pertenencia como comunidad. Este año, escuchará la entrada ganadora del concurso Pride Voices de 2026. Además, los primeros 50 asistentes recibirán un dulce gratis de Kona Ice.

Además de la ceremonia para izar la bandera, el ayuntamiento de Novato emitirá una proclamación en su reunión del 9 de junio para reconocer oficialmente junio de 2026 como el mes del orgullo LGBTQ+ en Novato. La proclamación reconoce el apoyo de Novato a los derechos, la igualdad, y las contribuciones de la comunidad LGBTQ+. La bandera del orgullo se ondeará en el mástil del Departamento de Policía de Novato durante el mes de junio.
