BOZEMAN - Montana State University's Museum of the Rockies will celebrate Montana's western culture, food, music and history during Taste of the Rockies on Friday, June 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the museum's Living History Farm, located at 600 W. Kagy Blvd. in Bozeman.
The annual event will bring together local culinary favorites, craft beverages, live music, dancing and hands-on western experiences. Community members can enjoy live music from Clint Anderson and the Montana Gazette, line dancing lessons with Western Roots Country Dancing, a Montana Canvas tent raffle, and a silent auction. Attendees can also try their hand at roping with MSU's rodeo team and see horses painted and outfitted in Indigenous parade regalia in partnership with MSU's College of Agriculture and the museum's cultural history team.
"Taste of the Rockies is more than just a summer celebration. It's an opportunity for our community to come together in support of the exhibitions, educational programs and outreach experiences that make Museum of the Rockies such a vital cultural resource," said Colin Deschamps, the museum's director of development and membership.
Tickets are $60 for members, $65 for non-members and $125 for VIP admission.
VIP ticket holders will receive unlimited beverages and an opportunity to support the museum. A portion of VIP ticket sales will go toward the museum and be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000, by Ken and Karen Kress.
