Sewer Pump Station B-4 Improvements in Coral Ridge

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southern Underground Industries, Inc. are rehabilitating and upgrading the sewer pump station at the southeast corner of George English Park in Coral Ridge. As part of this project, crews will replace aging equipment and structures to improve efficiency and enhance reliability. The improvements include:

  • Installing new modern pumps, electrical equipment and equipment for monitoring wastewater flow and station capacity
  • Repairing underground structures that support the sewer pump station
  • Installing a new generator to serve as a backup power source in an emergency

Construction will begin on Monday, July 28, 2025, and is expected to be completed in fall 2026. Work will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Parking Impacts:

  • Approximately 7 parking spaces along the east side of George English Park near the boat ramps will be closed during construction.
  • Please follow posted signs and use caution in the area
