FedEx Strengthens International Road Transportation Operations in Brazil with Expanded Coverage

Federal Express Corporation, the world's largest express transportation company, announces the expansion of its international road transportation routes which connects Brazil to countries in South America. The service, known as the South America Road Network (SARN), already serves the markets of Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, and now includes a new route to Paraguay, expanding coverage across South America. SARN offers competitive transit times, regular departures, an owned fleet authorized for international transit and with an average age of three years, door-to-door delivery, and dedicated hubs in São Paulo (SP), Curitiba (PR), and Porto Alegre (RS).

"The new route is part of our strategy to expand connectivity among South American countries, offering increasingly efficient, integrated, reliable, and high-visibility solutions for foreign trade. In addition, SARN has strong synergy with our international express service, serving as a complementary option for customers seeking more cost-effective alternatives for shipments destined to countries within the bloc," says Glaucia Megna, sales director for international service at FedEx in Brazil.

The SARN routes are integrated into the FedEx logistics network in Brazil, connecting with different company units to ensure operational reach, synergy with other services provided by the company, and efficiency. The service includes round-trip shipments with regular departures and vehicles tracked in real time, reinforcing visibility and control throughout the transportation process.

Transit times range from four to 17 days, depending on the origin and destination, not including customs clearance. The operation has more than 120 employees, a dedicated commercial team, and a fleet of 200 vehicles, including motor vehicles and semitrailers. It enables joint negotiations between Brazil and international markets, strengthening connections and facilitating relationships between importers and exporters.

According to ILOS analyses based on data provided by Comex Stat, in 2025, Brazilian exports to South America transported by road reached US$ 22.6 billion, the highest level recorded since 2015. The performance reinforces the recovery trend observed since 2021, mainly driven by the increase in regional trade of industrialized and higher value-added goods, categories in which road transportation stands out for its operational flexibility, availability, and agility in transit times.
