NIFA Invests $5M in Infectious Disease Research

USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture has invested $5 million on two research projects that aim to understand the transmission of infectious diseases. In partnership with NSF, this competitive grant program supports research on the ecological, evolutionary, organismal, and social drivers that influence infectious diseases and increase quantitative and/or computational understanding of pathogen transmission dynamics.
