The Simi Valley Youth Council is seeking talented individuals to perform at its 8th Annual Talent Show, which will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, located at 3050 Los Angeles Avenue. This year will feature two separate shows, each with different acts. The first show is at 2:00 p.m. with the second one at 7:30 p.m.
Singers, dancers, musicians, bands, and other performers are invited to audition for this highly anticipated competition and showcase. Solo and group acts will be considered.
"The Talent Show is a fantastic opportunity for both new and seasoned performers to gain experience, be recognized for their abilities, and showcase their performing skills," said Youth Council Treasurer and Fundraising Chair Saydee Ro.
A panel of three qualified judges will select winners in specific categories, and the audience will vote for the People's Choice Award. Approximately 30 acts will be chosen to compete in the event. All interested performers must apply and submit an audition video clip by Sunday, March 22, 2026. Applications and contest rules are available online at http://www.bit.ly/yctalentshow2026.
In addition to showcasing local talent, the annual Talent Show serves as a fundraiser to support the Youth Council's community initiatives, including anti-bullying and suicide prevention campaigns, the annual Simi Valley Youth Summit, and other youth-focused programs.
The Simi Valley Youth Council is an advisory board to the City Council on issues affecting local youth. Composed of 24 middle and high school students, the Council works to engage and empower young people in the community.
