The PL SA and the Centre for Information Technology on data protection and new technologies in public administration

On 31 August 2026, a joint meeting was held at the headquarters of the Personal Data Protection Office between representatives of the Office and the Centre for Information Technology. The discussions focused on the protection of personal data in the context of the development of digital services, IT projects and the implementation of new technologies in public administration.

The meeting was attended by Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, together with his colleagues, and representatives of the Centre for Information Technology: Sebastian Wilk, Deputy Director of the Centre for Information Technology, and Izabela Oziębła, Data Protection Officer at the Centre for Information Technology.

The first of the topics discussed was the role of entities processing personal data and the associated obligations and responsibilities in the context of the services provided by ICT systems. Both sides recognise many common ground and areas requiring mutual cooperation, in particular with regard to ensuring that the solutions used are designed and implemented in accordance with the principles of personal data protection and guarantee an adequate level of security in the processing of personal data by the Republic of Poland.

The meeting served to exchange experiences and identify areas requiring further cooperation between the two institutions. The Personal Data Protection Office and the Centre for Information Technology have pledged to continue their dialogue and to hold further workshops on data protection in the process of digitising public administration.
