This Is Americans' Top Money Fear, Financial Planners Say. Is it Harming Your Money Choices, too
According to the 2026 CFP® Professionals Financial Outlook Survey, politics has become Americans' top money-related fear (46%), surpassing inflation, market stability and rising health-care costs. "A lot of people were attaching their outlook to overall economic and political conditions," said Kevin Roth, CFP Board's Managing Director Of Research, to CNBC, noting that uncertainty driven by politics and economics is steadily increasing.
