The second booklet of Senior Farmers' Market Coupons can now be distributed!

The Chemung County Department of Aging and Long Term Care is pleased to announce that a second issuance of the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) coupons has been approved!. Eligible older adults can receive an additional free coupon booklet valued at $25 to use at participating farmers' markets across New York State. Booklets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Each booklet is valued at $25 and contains five $5 coupons that may be used to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. The program promotes healthy eating habits among older adults while also supporting local farmers and producers. Coupon booklets must be picked up in person by the eligible individual or by a designated representative with completed Proxy paperwork. Individuals with Power of Attorney (POA) may pick up coupons on behalf of an eligible senior by presenting valid POA documentation and completing the required forms.

Eligibility Requirements:

To receive Senior Farmers' Market coupons, individuals must meet ALL of the requirements listed below:

Age 60 years or older

  • Resident of New York State
  • Have not already received TWO 2025 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupon booklets from another location.
  • Income level at or below the following:
    • $2,413/month for a one-person household
    • $3,261/month for a two-person household
    • $4,109/month for a three-person household

About the Program:

The Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program is administered by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, in partnership with the New York State Department of Health, the New York State Office for the Aging, and Cornell Cooperative Extension. The initiative encourages the consumption of healthy, fresh produce while strengthening New York's agricultural economy.
