SR-186 and I-8 Intermittent Connector Closure in Imperial County

IMPERIAL COUNTY - Caltrans will close the State Route 186 (SR-186) connector to Interstate 8 (I-8) from March 18th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for Striping removal and Microsurfacing. Connectors will be closed one at a time.

• Full Connector Closure from Westbound Route 8 to Route 186 Off-Connector from 7:00 am - 7:30 am
  Detour: WB 8 Connector to Route 186 traffic via westerly on Route 8 to WB 8 Exit Ramp to Sidewinder Road, thence southerly on Sidewinder Road to EB 8 Entrance Ramp from Sidewinder Road, thence easterly on Route 8 to EB 8 Connector to Route 186.
• Full Connector Closure from Route 186 to Westbound Route 8 On-Connector from 7:30 am - 8:00 am
  Detour: Route 186 Connector to WB 8 traffic via Route 186 Connector to EB 8, thence easterly on Route 8 to EB 8 Exit Ramp to Winterhaven Drive, thence northerly on Winterhaven Drive to WB 8 Entrance Ramp from Winterhaven Drive.
• Full Connector Closure from Eastbound Route 8 to Route 186 Off-Connector from 8:00 am - 8:30 am
  Detour: EB 8 Connector to Route 186 traffic via easterly on Route 8 to EB 8 Exit Ramp to Winterhaven Drive, thence northerly on Winterhaven Drive to WB 8 Entrance Ramp from Winterhaven Drive, thence westerly on Route 8 to WB 8 Connector to Route 186.
• Full Connector Closure from Route 186 to Eastbound Route 8 On-Connector from 8:30 am - 9:00 am
  Detour: Route 186 Connector to EB 8 traffic via Route 186 Connector to WB 8, thence westerly on Route 8 to WB 8 Exit Ramp to Sidewinder Road, thence southerly on Sidewinder Road to EB 8 Entrance Ramp from Sidewinder Road.
• Full Connector Closure from Eastbound Route 8 to Route 186 Off Connector from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Friday, March 20th, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, March 23, 24, and 25th, respectively.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
