Vote BA in the ‘Best in the World 2026’ contest

Broken Arrowans know the city is the best place in the WORLD to live, work, and play.

After all, we're the city where opportunity lives!

Now let's prove it by making our voices heard in the Tulsa World Best in the World 2026 contest.

Bragging rights are on the line!

Voters have already nominated several Broken Arrow businesses, nonprofits, and public service organizations for the contest, which runs now through Aug. 2. And for that, we thank you.

Now we need your vote to get us to the finish line! Click here to see the full list of nominees and to vote. (Please note, by following the link, you do not have to subscribe to vote.)

We are thrilled to announce that in the Fun & Leisure category, Elam Park was nominated for Best Park. And in the Hometown Favorites category, the Broken Arrow Fire Department and the Broken Arrow Police Department were nominated for Best Fire Department and Best Police Department, respectively.

Elam Park Phase 1, between Olive and Aspen Avenues, opened in fall 2024, with approximately 9.5 acres of the 53-acre property developed. It features a state-of-the-art inclusive playground for children of all abilities and accommodates a wide range of physical, sensory, and developmental needs.

The park was completed using funds from the 2018 General Obligation Bond. In April, voters approved a community center to be located at Elam Park as part of the 2026 General Obligation Bond. Though Elam Park is relatively new to Broken Arrow and the region, its best days are still ahead!

The Broken Arrow Fire Department is dedicated to serving the community by being selfless, compassionate, and competent. BAFD is one of the largest primary Advanced Life Support transport departments in Oklahoma. Its ISO Rating of 1 represents the highest level of fire protection a community can achieve.

Likewise, the Broken Arrow Police Department highlights proactive policing, collaboration, transparency, and distinction. It focuses on internal wellness, professional development, and innovation. BAPD not only maintains public safety but also reinforces community ties, making it a respected and valued part of the city's quality of life.

As the City of Broken Arrow continues to grow, it prioritizes Public Safety and remains committed to keeping Broken Arrow a safe, affordable, and family-friendly place for its residents. Public Safety is one of Broken Arrow's biggest strengths as a community, and the city is focused on preserving and enhancing its public safety initiatives.

Winners of the Best in the World 2026 contest will be announced at an event on Sept. 17 and in the Tulsa World on Sunday, Sept. 20, at TulsaWorld.com.
