LAHAINA, HI (June 6, 2025) - Kaibigan ng Lahaina and Central Pacific Bank (CPB) Foundation are pleased to announce the 2025 Lahaina Palengke Night, a fair that spotlights Lahaina's small businesses and provides supportive resources.

Date: Sunday, June 22, 2025
Time: 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Lahaina Cannery Mall
Cost for entrance: Free
"The goal of Lahaina Palengke Night is to create a family-friendly community space for the small businesses impacted by the August 2023 wildfires," shares Nestor Ugale, Jr., president of Kaibigan ng Lahaina. "Not only do we want to support immigrant and Filipino-owned or -operated businesses, we want to support the overall revitalization and encourage resiliency for all small entrepreneurs in West Maui.

Since its inception in 2007, the CPB Foundation has committed to strengthening Hawaii's communities through partnerships, collaborations and signature programs that provide investment and leadership to provide support where it is needed most, and by helping Hawaii define a path to a brighter future.
"We believe that Kaibigan ng Lahaina is doing critical work for the residents and businesses impacted by the devastating wildfires nearly two years ago," explains Catherine Ngo, CPB Foundation president."Not only will Lahaina Palengke Nightoffer a cost-free opportunity for these small businesses, participating nonprofits and governmental organizations will be providing education to help connect attendees with resources addressing multi-faceted areas for recovery and resiliency."
Lahaina's Rose Koyama, whose family was impacted by the wildfires, is serving as the CPB Foundation's volunteer coordinator for Lahaina Palengke Night. "I am honored to help Kaibigan ng Lahaina as it supports my neighbors and helps boost our area small businesses," she says.
The first Lahaina Palengke Night was held in November 2024. Because of the success of the inaugural event, Kaibigan ng Lahaina was determined to put on an even larger 2025 celebration and hopes to hold it annually for the community.
