Minister Konaković received the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland for Bosnia and Herzegovina, based in Zagreb, Sirpa Oksanen, on an inaugural visit.

On March 4, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sirpe Oksanen, for an inaugural visit.

Minister Konaković congratulated Ambassador Oksanen on her new mandate and emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of mutual support and the exchange of visits at various levels, as these underpin the development of partnership relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finland.

Both officials shared their views on the current global situation and developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They stressed the need for further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including support in international organizations and candidacies.

Ambassador Oksanen expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and support she received. She conveyed her commitment to enhancing cooperation and deepening bilateral relations between the two countries during her tenure.
