Be part of a global film event! The MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival brings together over 100,000 film lovers across more than 500 cities on six continents. Audiences gather to view a curated selection of short films from around the world-spanning drama, comedy, animation, and documentary-and vote for their favorite. The film with the most votes receives the prestigious Manhattan Short Award.
All films selected for the 2025 MANHATTAN SHORT are automatically qualified for the 2026 Oscars, giving audience members a unique chance to preview potential Academy Award contenders.
The MANHATTAN SHORT final ten are:
"Em & Selma Go Griffin Hunting" (USA), "Al Fresco" (Spain), "Chasing the Party" (USA), "Paradise Man" (USA), "We Have Sinned Before You" (Israel), "I Have My Reasons" (United Kingdom), "Ovary-Acting" (Norway), "Beyond Silence" (The Netherlands), "Zodiak" (Belgium), and "Passarinho" (Mexico).
Recommended for ages 17 and older.
Please Note: Due to theatre renovations, this year's screenings will be held at the Rosborough Cultural Arts and Wellness Center at Asbury Methodist Village.
Directions:
Enter Asbury Methodist Village through the Gatehouse at 301 Odendhal Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877, at the intersection of Odendhal Avenue and Lost Knife Road. Upon entering through the Gatehouse, proceed straight on Asbury Drive. The Rosborough Cultural Arts and Wellness Center, which houses the Rosborough Theatre, will be on your right. Public parking is available directly across Asbury Drive, in front of the theatre.
