Lincoln University Alumna Ke'yanna McCall Nominated for Two Mid-America Emmy Awards

Lincoln University alumna Ke'yanna McCall '13 has earned two Mid-America Emmy Award nominations for her work as a producer at KMOV in St. Louis.

McCall is nominated as part of the KMOV team behind "The Names That Came Before Us" and as a producer on "First Alert 4 This Morning," which is nominated in the Morning/Daytime Newscast category for larger markets. She is among a team of producers, reporters and anchors recognized across both projects.

Before making her mark in St. Louis television, McCall got her start in broadcast media at KJLU, Lincoln University's campus radio station, where she worked in the news department as a student.

"Ke'yanna was one of the great students who worked in the news department at KJLU," said Mike Downey, the station's general manager. "She was eager to learn and took her work very seriously. It is no wonder she has been so successful."

The Mid-America Emmy Awards are presented by the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and recognize excellence in television and visual media across the region. This year's ceremony marks the chapter's 50th anniversary and will be held Oct. 24 at the Overland Park Convention Center in Kansas City.
