EUMAM MOZ and UNODC Conclude Training the Trainers on the Reception and Assistance of Victims of Terrorism

The activity brought together representatives from the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM), the Mozambique Police (PRM), the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC), the National Centre for the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism and Violent Extremism (CNPCTEV), and the Ministry of Labour, Gender and Social Action of Mozambique.

The training benefited from the contribution of EUMAM MOZ's Counterterrorism Advisor (CTAD), who organised and delivered several sessions, promoting a multidisciplinary approach based on the principles of human rights, the rule of law, and interinstitutional cooperation.

More than a capacity-building activity, this initiative represented an investment in the sustainability of national capabilities. By preparing future trainers, the programme contributes to strengthening institutional self-sufficiency, enabling the internal replication of knowledge and reinforcing a coordinated, resilient, and victim-centred national response to terrorism.

Through the cooperation between international partners and Mozambican institutions, EUMAM MOZ and UNODC continue to support the strengthening of national capacities to prevent and respond to terrorism, promoting institutional interoperability, respect for human rights, the rule of law, and the protection of communities.
