For a young person with talent and ambition, access to the right education can change what comes next. A significant donation from James and Marta Batmasian, founders of Investments Limited, is helping expand those possibilities through an innovative technology education initiative in Armenia.
Their support benefits Armenian Creative Technologies College, known as ACT College, where students prepare for careers in technology and creative industries while completing their high school education. It is an investment in students' ability to build meaningful careers-and, ultimately, contribute to the communities around them.
ACT College brings academic learning and practical career preparation together. Its three-year program allows students to earn a high school diploma and professional certifications by age 18, giving graduates options to pursue university, enter the workforce or combine both paths.
Students gain experience creating software, artwork and physical products, connecting what they learn in the classroom with work they may one day do professionally. That approach helps make future career possibilities tangible while students are still in school.
Located in Parakar, near Yerevan, ACT integrates computer science, engineering and manufacturing, and digital arts into the regular school day. Students can explore subjects such as cybersecurity, 3D modeling and electrical engineering alongside their core academic studies.
According to the Fund for Armenian Relief, support from the James H. and Marta Batmasian Family Foundation is helping ACT develop a new campus expected to accommodate more than 100 new students.
The organization also reports that its tuition assistance covers half the annual tuition for every ACT student, with additional scholarships covering the remaining cost for many. Together, expanded facilities and financial assistance can help more young people access specialized education.
At Investments Limited, community investment has long included support for education, cultural programs and nonprofit organizations. James and Marta Batmasian's philanthropy reflects the belief that thriving communities depend on opportunities for people as well as places for businesses to grow.
Their support for ACT carries that commitment beyond South Florida. By helping expand access to technology education in Armenia, the founders are contributing to an initiative designed to give young people practical skills and more choices about their future.
For Investments Limited, this is a meaningful extension of a longstanding commitment to giving back. A student's first opportunity to develop a skill can become the foundation for a career, a business or an idea that benefits others. Supporting that opportunity is an investment whose value can grow for generations.
