Motorcycle driver dies following June 6 crash on West Las Vegas Street

On June 6, 2026, at about 01:15 a.m., officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), Gold Hill Division, were dispatched to the 0 block of W Las Vegas St for an injury crash. Arriving officers learned that a motorcycle was traveling westbound on W Las Vegas Street into oncoming traffic, hitting an eastbound vehicle head-on. The motorcyclist died at the scene from the injuries he sustained during the crash. Due to the nature of the incident, the Major Crash Team responded and took over the investigation. Speed is considered a factor in this crash.

On June 8, 2026, the CSPD was notified by the El Paso County Coroner's Office that the motorcycle driver had been positively identified as 24-year-old Alexander Liscio.

This crash marks the 26th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2026. At this time last year, the city experienced 16 traffic fatalities. Over the past 365 days, there have been 63 traffic-related fatalities in Colorado Springs.
