Peake Federal Credit Union has been awarded a Gold MarCom Award in the Strategic Communications: Branding category, recognizing the successful transition from Baltimore County Employees Federal Credit Union (BCEFCU) to Peake Federal Credit Union in March, 2025.
Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), the MarCom Awards honor excellence in marketing and communications, recognizing creativity, strategic impact, execution, and overall quality across the communications field.
"We are incredibly proud to receive this Gold MarCom Award," said Lisa Albin, Vice President of Marketing at Peake Federal Credit Union. "This recognition affirms the thoughtful, research-driven approach behind our brand and reflects our commitment to growing intentionally while strengthening our connection with both existing and future members."
The rebranding initiative followed comprehensive market research indicating that the credit union's former name had become a barrier for potential members who did not immediately identify with an employee-based field of membership. The new name and brand were intentionally designed to be more welcoming as the credit union expands its reach.
The transition to Peake Federal Credit Union, paired with the new tagline "Banking. Elevated.", reflects the organization's mission to deliver an enhanced member experience while maintaining the same commitment, service, and care that have defined the credit union for more than six decades.
