Portland Press Herald: Collins votes with Republicans to defeat Democrats' effort to force release of Epstein files
Maine's Republican Sen. Susan Collins voted with her party to defeat the effort.
Maine Democrats levied criticism at Collins, who is up for reelection next year. Party spokesman Tommy Garcia cited a recent poll that suggested an overwhelming majority of Mainers think all documents should be released.
"Yesterday, Susan Collins chose to protect Donald Trump and the rich and powerful instead of standing up for victims and the American people," he said. "Once again, she fell in line with her party bosses and ignored the will of Maine voters who broadly support the release of these files."

"In a close vote, Senate Republicans defeated an effort Wednesday by Democrats to insert language into Congress' annual defense authorization bill that would have forced the public release of case files on the sex trafficking investigation into the late Jeffrey Epstein."
REMINDER: A recent poll found 89% of Mainers believe the Trump administration should release all documents related to the Epstein case. Collins was recently caught on video running away from reporter questions about Trump's handling of the Epstein files.
