SAFE Credit Union Named a Best Place to Work

Folsom, Calif. -(Oct. 8, 2025) - The Sacramento Business Journal named SAFE Credit Union a Best Place to Work in the Very Large Employer category - for the seventh time since 2018.

Recipients of the Best Place to Work honors are chosen based on surveys in which employees rank their organization's workplace culture, work-life balance, benefits, and career advancement opportunities.

SAFE employs more than 625 team members who serve the credit union's 244,000 members in the Greater Sacramento area at 17 branches and local contact center. Specialized-trained staff provide centralized mortgage and lending services.

Nerius credits SAFE's clear career pathways and a culture centered on providing exceptional service to members as key reasons for the credit union's repeated designation as a best place to work.

"We wholly support our team members on their career paths," Nerius says. For its back-office teams, SAFE offers a hybrid work schedule where most employees work from the credit union's Folsom headquarters at a minimum of two days a week.
