GOV. LACSON LEADS INAUGURATION OF UPGRADED PDRRMO FACILITIES AT PANAAD

Gov. Bong Lacson, together with 6th District Board Member Genaro Alvarez IV, chairman of the SP Committee on Disaster Preparedness, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II, and PDRRMO Head Irene Bel Ploteña, led the blessing and inauguration of the upgraded PDRRMO facilities, vehicles, and equipment at Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City today, March 5.

The PDRRMO, recently approved as an official Capitol Department, now features a state-of-the-art command center, logistics hub, and training facility located at Panaad.

Gov. Lacson emphasized that the upgraded PDRRMO facility will serve as a command center for coordination, strategy, and decisive action during emergencies, while the new vehicles will enable responders to reach communities faster, especially those in remote and vulnerable areas. Meanwhile, the updated equipment will enhance capabilities in search, rescue, relief, and recovery operations.

Atty. Diaz noted that the upgraded training center will serve as the primary hub for developing and updating the skills, knowledge, orientation, and values of DRRMO personnel and EMTs.

He added that the center will accommodate not only PDRRMO personnel from the province but also participants from LGUs across the province and from other regions who wish to undergo training.

Also present were Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Alberto Nellas Jr., Provincial Health Officer Dr. Girlie Pinongan, and other Capitol department and office heads.*
